Camille's Firehouse Thank You
Thanks LAFD for another year of dreams come true for Camille!
On October 3rd, 2011, firefighters from Hollywood's Station 27 responded to our 911 call. Camille suffered a severe respiratory crisis, and the swift response from LA's finest gave Camille another wonderful year of life. Our humble heroes state they were "just doing their job." We are grateful that "courage lives at the firehouse next door".
To celebrate her heroes and honor her local firefighters for their service and bravery, Camille threw a “Firehouse Thank You” party this week on the one-year anniversary of her rescue. The event was held in cooperation with the LAFD and the FIRST-IN FIRE FOUNDATION "Friends of the Fire Department & Fire Service."
The firefighters of Station 27 surprised Camille with a pink fire truck birthday cake to celebrate her 9th birthday. Camille loved the cake and the LAFD “eye candy.” What a treat!
It’s been a remarkable year, filled with joys, challenges, and accomplishments! To watch Camille’s video of her “Life Lived” this past year thanks to the LAFD rescue, click here.
