Hospital Move
This June, Camille was admitted to the hospital for the sixth time this year due to GI issues. During her admission, she was part of the exciting opening of the new UCLA Medical Center. She was one of the first patients to be moved from the old facility to the brand new hospital just blocks away in Westwood. It was a remarkable logistical feat, as nearly three hundred and fifty patients were transported individually by ambulance over the course of a few hours. The new children’s hospital was designed to incorporate the latest medical and patient care standards. Camille enjoyed her first ambulance ride and was excited to make it to the new hospital. Notably, she was also the first patient to be discharged from the new children’s hospital. See below for photos of Camille’s journey....
